9-18-16 Flash Fiction Challenge (prompt word: parking)

“Crap! We’ll never find a parking spot,” Shannon inched her way through the crowded lot.
“It’s a good thing it’s not snowing, or we’d be in it deep,” James wiggled his fingers in the air. “‘Tis the season.”
“Oh yeah,” Shannon chirped and then flipped the bird to the heavens. “Merry Freakin’ Christmas.”

(Today’s challenge was an interesting one. I got stuck on the characters’ names. I wasted time on the details instead of on the plot. However, I have a feeling many of us can relate to trying to find a parking spot during the holiday season. So, I’m just going to go with, “I’m getting a jump on the holiday season.”

Enjoy!)
