If you want to know more about my process of writing, here’s good place to start. I’ll be putting up support and supplemental files of pieces I’m creating.
I just finished a ten-minute musical called, Saving the Grand.
Saving the Grand
Saving the Grand is a timely musical about community, creativity, and the fight to preserve the arts in the face of gentrification. Set against the backdrop of a condemned theater, it weaves humor, passion, and camaraderie as a diverse group of characters unite through protests, performance, and song to save their beloved space. With its heartwarming message and engaging ensemble cast, the play captures the power of art to inspire change and create connection.
There are two songs in this short piece. The first is a “spur of the moment” protest song one of the characters makes up.
Save the Grand
The second is Never Would Have Guessed. This one is a partial song because it quiets in the middle.
